Friends and Family

Our Family and Friends…

We both have loving families. We celebrate holidays and birthdays together, and hang out as often as we can in between. They are all very supportive of our decision to start our family though adoption. Our friends, many of which have young children of their own, are very supportive as well. We feel fortunate to have so many good people in our life.

Michelle has 1 older sister (engaged to be married and become a step-mom to 2 children) and 2 older brothers (1 is married).

Jeff has 1 younger sister. Our child will have 3 aunts and 3 uncles.

One set of our child’s future grandparents, Michelle’s dad and his wife of 11 years, and the aunts and uncles live close by; within a 40 minutes drive. They look forward to the days when they get to read, shop, see movies, swim or visit the zoo with their niece or nephew. They want to help cheer our child on at whatever they do.

Jeff’s mom, dad and grandma are the other set of excited grandparents–to–be. They are “ready to spoil” their grandchild. We call, send e-mails and visit, either here in CA, or we fly to see them in beautiful southwest Florida. There's always a room waiting for us in their home. They look forward to strolls around the lake with their grandchild, collecting seashells at the beach, and the traditional holiday dinners together. Our families are excited to welcome with open hearts the first grandchild.
